How can I create a healthy menu?

Future mom! It’s time to get serious about a diet that benefits both you and that little one you’re carrying.

Your belly is your baby’s first home, so let’s create a cozy place full of good things for them. We know that the modern world complicates things with all that processed food and the stress of everyday life, but don’t worry, we’re going to face it!

Eating well will not only help your baby grow strong and healthy but will also help you combat some of those pesky pregnancy symptoms, like fatigue, constipation, and nausea.

Here are some tips to make healthy eating easier: think about the healthy plate! Divide your plate in two, one half for fruits and vegetables packed with vitamins and fiber, and the other for proteins and carbohydrates that will give you all the energy you need.

Vegetables are your best friends! Add them to everything, from proteins to pizzas. They go with everything! And fruits are the perfect dessert and refreshing snacks. Remember, colors matter! The more variety you eat, the more nutrients you’ll get.

Carbohydrates are your allies for filling up on energy. Whole grain bread, rice, pasta, quinoa, barley, and oats are the protagonists!

And let’s talk about proteins, those are essential for the baby’s growth! You can find really healthy proteins in skinless chicken, beans, lean meat, fish, nuts, egg, or tofu.

And don’t feel bad if you crave fats and sugars from time to time. We all deserve a treat! Just remember to cook with a little oil and enjoy desserts in moderation.

See, eating healthy can be fun and delicious!
